A.Presence is a temporary radio station and online broadcast project exploring how radio can create connection through shared acts of listening. Featuring original broadcasts and field recordings, it can be heard online here and within the 2026 MA Degree Show at Gray’s School of Art.
This website extends the project beyond the gallery, allowing broadcasts to be heard remotely and at any time. It invites audiences to tune in, listen alongside others, and experience radio as a shared but dispersed form of presence.
The project is informed by the prehistoric stone circles of north-east Scotland, which became a way of thinking about communication across time and distance. Like these enduring structures, A.Presence considers radio as something that can connect people, carry meaning, and create shared experience across space.
